Our favourite little genius is back.
Apparently, he created his own song. Ma-i-na-ku-ma-na.
Lol.

Merry Christmas.

Core
Thursday, December 24, 2009

I do not subscribe to the belief that all humans, at their core, are good.
I believe that at my core, in the dark recesses that boil deep within,
is a cesspool of all that is - for a lack of a better word - bad.

A little pool of insecurity, fear, prejudice, anger, revenge, surrender.
And life is nothing more than climbing up the very steep hill to the promised land, self-actualization,
I suppose, or contentment.

The hill is rocky, giving me ample opportunity to find my grip as
I lift myself against the very strong gravitational force pulling me back down.

And when I do fall back, the landing is soft, the pool refreshing and soothing and nourishing.
Sometimes, I think I will never actually start the climb back up.
Not when the water is so warm.

Line of vision.

Exhibition

See anyone familiar?

The Gadget 3 photography competition has come to an end.
It was heartwarming to see so many people looking at the photo exhibition displayed in the National Geographic store.
I expected it to be a low key exhibition with a few avid photographers interested to gawk on the pictures.
But I was wrong.

There were a lot of people.
Not as many that it blocked the hallways.
But quite a crowd that I have not expected at all.
It was amazing.

There wasn't any huge disappointment for me even though I didn't win anything.
Because getting my photo chosen alongside with professional photographers in the top 40 is satisfying enough for me.
For the photos to be exhibited at a reputable international store was really another sweet surprise.

Let this be my motivation to take more quality photos. =)

Hahahahahaha....this is what you call pure cuteness.
At such a young age, he can play a guitar. Ok fine, a ukelele.
I can't even pluck anything la. Ok maybe pluck leaves.

This kid's vocal is kinda annonying but still he is too adorable.
At five years old, that's really impressive. His parents must be proud.

Work over Work
Saturday, November 21, 2009
Work is over but we were overworked.

Very overworked!

Pretending not to be overworked...

Our manager who we thought was ...
No la she is really kind. =p

And finally, free!
Work is over in just a week.

It was a totally new experience.

Compared to my previous telemarketing jobs,
this was nowhere near slack.

Tapping into calls and all.
And not forgetting the haunted boys toilet.

LOL.
How can I forget something like that?

LAST MATCH AT THE NATIONAL STADIUM
Sunday, November 15, 2009

I actually wished the rain would get heavier yesterday night.
Then perhaps Singapore would have played much better seeing their supporters staying on under the rain to watch them play.
Actually, I just want to tell people a more interesting story line but well I guess not.

The Thai supporters were far more united than us.

We were in our own home ground but I felt I was in Bangkok.

The empty stadium.

My four stadium models...

This blog is dying out.
I will blog only if I have taken photos.

Express

The grass is greener on the other side.
But if you are in the middle of an expressway, crossing to the other side can take a really long time.
Under the rain, as cars zoom by endlessly, you wait and wait.
It felt like an hour but only 10 minutes passed as you begin to give up trying
and start walking towards the traffic light nearby.

As the rain pours down,
you crossed over the road and you finally get to the greener grass on the other side.
Crossing dangerously to the other side seems to be quicker option but obstacles ahead force you to
think and react rationally ie.traffic lights.

That's life.
Obstacles are there and yet humans can overcome them. Why?
Because we have a systematic way of assessing situations and in the process having the ability to think
and react rationally according to certain conditions and environment.
And thus obstacles can be overcome.

Thank God, I feel composed when I do not need to pay for my laptop's LCD screen. Insured.
**Bursary is one of the most troublesome application process I have ever seen.

It's always that way when you need assistance, financially.
